The Best Beaches in Cannes
A number of public and private beaches can be found along the city centre of Cannes; they are beautiful and very lively in July and August. They offer gentle slopes ideal for wading and swimming. Close proximity to the city centre means many nearby restaurants and shops. The hotels along these beaches all have their own private areas where you can rent a beach-chair equipped with umbrellas.
Festival Palace & la Croisette Beaches.
The Festival Palace Beach and La Croisette Beach are the most central beach. The gentle slope is ideal for swimming and having fun in the water. The proximity to the city center is also a plus, with many shops and restaurants nearby. These are the most popular beaches, with stunning views of the water, the old town, and overlooked by luxury hotels.
Bijou Beach.
For families with children, we recommend Bijou Plage, located after Port Pierre Canto going towards Palm Beach. It is a small beach with clear and shallow waters, ideal for swimming. In addition, it remains protected from the wind and for this reason, there are rarely waves. The environment is pleasant, with the Lérins islands in sight.
Palm Beach.
Throughout the summer, the beautiful beach of Palm Beach offers various water activities. Miles of golden sand and clean clear waters make it one of our favourite beaches in Cannes. It’s also a great spot for surfing and kitesurfing, and when the wind picks up, the sky is filled with kites of all different colours testing their skills in the waves.
